Macaroni and Cheese Serves 8 Ingredients: Method: For the Macaroni:
  1. Bring 10 liters of water to a boil with the salt.
  2. Once boiling, add the macaroni and cook until al dente. This means the pasta should have some resistance when bitten, but no crunch.
  3. Drain the macaroni in a colander and rinse with cold water. Set aside until needed.
To Finish:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a large pot, heat the chili con carne sauce until it starts to simmer.
  3. Add the blanched pasta and stir for about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top, ensuring it covers the entire surface to prevent the pasta from drying out.
  6. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown.
